3 Months Pregnant
3rd Month of Pregnancy

Welcome to the 3rd month of pregnancy. At the end of this month, you'll be a complete 3 months pregnant (see pregnancy chart). This is the last month in the first trimester.  Starting from about week 9 and ending with week 13.

During month 3, your baby will officially become a fetus (previously referred to as an embryo) at around the end of the 10th week of pregnancy. All organs will be present and will continue to grow and develop.

The end of the critical stage of pregnancy occurs during the middle of the third month in which you must be careful of things that could interfere with the formation of the baby's organs. (Talk to your prenatal practitioner about what medications you can take and what you can or cannot do.)

By the end of the 3rd month of pregnancy, you should be able to feel the baby bump (your uterus) just above your pubic bone and you're most likely beginning to 'show'. Not to mention, most early pregnancy symptoms such as nausea and vomiting and extreme fatigue/sleepiness and frequent urination will likely give way to renewed energy by the end of this month.

The first month of pregnancy began with your last menstrual period (LMP). Then, ovulation and conception occurs about half way through. And finally, implantation takes place during week 4.

During the second month of pregnancy, organ formation began and the heart started beating. Leg and arm buds formed and by the end of 2 months pregnant, eyelids, tip of nose, and ears started to form. And your little embryo looks more like a human instead of like a tadpole.
